Visual Ovation Photography

As an Army brat, I was able to see the best and the worst of a variety of places.  It was perhaps this sort of visual education that drew me to photography.  In meeting and marrying Stephanie, I was able to discover and share an artistic side that I have enjoyed developing over our 35 years together.

 

For me, one of the most rewarding aspects of photography is the absolute unpredictability of what catches my eye and the images that result.  Surprising oneself has its own reward!  As a complement to Stephanie's focus on detail, I am more drawn to images that reveal the larger picture, although over time we each have influenced how the other sees the world and photographs it.

 

Life events have given me a deep appreciation of what is really important in life.  Seizing opportunities to live a fuller life every day has resulted in my adoption of "Carpe Diem" as a motto.
